307 Milltown Road Taylors Falls, MN 55084
Catch a glimpse of one of the world’s largest glacial potholes at the north end of the park near the visitor center before embarking on your 1.5-mile journey southward toward the park office and picnic area. The River Trail takes you across rocky outcroppings along the St. Croix River. Experience the hardwood forest accented with towering pines and a variety of woodland and prairie wildflowers April through August. To return, retrace your steps along the River Trail (1.5 miles) or climb to the sandstone bluffs along the Railroad Trail (1.7 miles), each looping back to the visitor center. For a more enriching experience, contact the park office to ask about downloading or checking out a selfguided audio tour of these trails.
