Hiking Club Trail Description

The Norberg Lake Loop starts at the beach/picnic area. On the trail, take note of the many 75- to 100-yearold white and red pine stands; a small-scale railroad grade used for turnof-the-century logging; and lovely views of Norberg Lake, well stocked with brook trout. While hiking, look for signs of North Woods wildlife, including black bear, wolf, deer, fox and a number of bird species. Your hike will end at the picnic area, treating you to the sight of lofty white pines, views of Bear Head Lake and a sandy swimming beach. This is a rugged trail with exposed rocks and tree roots.
