Hiking Club Trail Description

Beginning at the northwest corner of the Big Beach, the trail first runs along the shoreline of Lake of the Woods and then between the lake and an inland open marsh. Follow the trail as it leads to the Zippel Bay channel, where you take in panoramic views of both Zippel Bay and Lake of the Woods. A small loop in the trail returns you to a walk along the lakeshore and back to the Big Beach parking area. Birding is excellent in the park where marsh, forest and lakeshore meet.
