Hiking Club Trail Description

The hiking trail starts at the Works Progress Administration (WPA) picnic shelter situated along the beautiful Lac qui Parle River. Hike through wooded areas adorned with various trees and flowers. Watch for deer, songbirds, bald eagles and hawks. Spring and fall migrations (geese, whistling swans) can be spectacular. Follow the trail as it circles around the backwaters and returns to the canoe landing.
